A beginning filled with hope

Shortly before giving birth, Brenda received news no parent is ever prepared to hear: Her baby had three serious heart conditions with three names that were hard to pronounce — and even harder to process.

When little Dallas’s vital signs became worrisome, doctors acted quickly and performed an emergency C-section. Within hours, he was transported over 600 miles from El Paso to Children’s Health℠, where a team of specialists were ready and waiting to care for him.
